SCHOOL PROJECT

We first concentrated all our efforts on the attention to the child population, with the School Project, taking as a base the mandatory education of children aged 5 to 13 in the city. This first project started with the examination of the total child population. Throughout the first 4 four expeditions to the country a total of 11,600 children were examined, and correcting glasses were given to 422 children. Regarding the pathologies encountered in the child population, pingueculas, pterygium and conjunctivitis derived from the lack of solar protection were particularly noteworthy.

The child population is the future of every society. Working with them we are able to eradicate child blindness, removing barriers to human development within this population, even eliminating all those problems that cause low school performance, and affect employment and future productivity of this new generation, but above all, reducing those that affect their quality of life.
